Although still in the midst of challenging conditions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has finally reached its peak. After going through the selection and judging stages, the announcement of the winners of the TDCAC for the first time will be done face-to-face, while still adhering to the existing health protocols.

This year, as part of the celebration of the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Toyota Indonesia reflects the spirit to grow and develop together with the Indonesian people through the holding of the TDCAC national awarding.

The announcement of the winner of the TDCAC was held at the Toyota booth with the theme Indonesia Pride, at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Henry Tanoto, said that Toyota has consistently held this TDCAC since 2004, which is one part of Toyota’s sustainability program for non-formal education for children through developing creativity in creating future mobility solutions.

This year, although still in the midst of many limitations due to dovid-19, Indonesian children showed great enthusiasm for this contest. It is evident from more than 2,000 works received by the committee from 20 provinces in Indonesia.

TDCAC participants are also more inclusive because they come from all walks of life and with diverse backgrounds.

Not only that, what is proud of is that the works of TDCAC participants are very inspiring, full of creative ideas, and have improved image quality from previous years.

“In the future, we hope that more Indonesian children will participate in TDCAC by sharing ideas about future dream cars and increasing their awareness of environmental and social issues,” said Henry.
