From the Glittering Runway of New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 seems to mark the return of the euphoria of welcoming new collections of world designers after the Covid-19 pandemic. From September 9–14, more than a hundred designers held runways, presentations, and parties. Hollywood supermodels, influencers and A-listers have flocked to New York to witness one of the world’s biggest fashion weeks. Here are the talking moments from NYFW Spring/Summer 2023.
DOJA COMPLIMENTED ISYANA
Vogue World is one of the big events to look forward to at NYFW Spring/Summer 2023. Doja who sits on the front row is one of the stars who stole the attention. Why not, she painted his face and bald head with geometric motifs using white paint. As a result, the owner of the single Say So looks bold and firm. “That (bald hairstyle, Red) affects my style in an interesting way,” she said, as reported by Vogue.
Doja’s unique style also makes Isyana her favorite. Isyana herself had a chance to meet Doja in person at the Coach Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show. Isyana greeted Doja who passed in front of her. Unexpectedly, Doja praised the coat from the Coach collection worn by Isyana. “Love your coat,” said Doja, then smiled. Isyana blushed and thanked Doja.
LIL NAS X CATWALK DEBUT
The owner of the Montero album, Lil Nas X, kicked off with his first appearance as a catwalk model at the Coach fashion show on Monday (12/9) local time. Lil Nas X appeared in a distressed vest, shorts, and jelly sandals which became Coach’s newest collection. Her hair is braided in a Rick James style. The musician whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill looks very confident.
”I’m actually not so nervous walking on the show. Compared to live performances like singing, dancing and everything, it’s not so exciting,” he said, quoted by Vogue. A few hours later, Lil Nas X rushed to enliven the Vogue World runway. There she performed her hit song, Industry Baby, in an all-Coach outfit.
STARS studded homeland AT SHOW ERIGO X
Erigo returns to showcase his work at NYFW The Shows. The ready-to-wear brand from Indonesia brought Indonesian celebrities to walk the runway which was held at Springs Studios, New York, on Monday (12/9) local time. Among them, Raffi Ahmad, Enzy Storia, Refal Hady, Angga Yunanda, and Anya Geraldine. The celebrities exhibited 60 collections which were dominated by black and denim material.
They also looked confident even though it was their first NYFW runway stage. For example, Enzy appeared in a black sheer shirt and matching colored trousers. “Maybe it won’t be repeated, yes, I can feel the way in NYFW and bring a local Indonesian brand @erigostore!” Enzy wrote on her Instagram yesterday.
LEE JE-NO DAN SEULGIA
Lee Je-no, a member of the boy band NCT, also made his debut on the NYFW Spring/Summer 2023 runway. He became the first Korean idol to open a show at NYFW through his appearance in the Peter Do fashion show. The musician, who is familiarly called Jeno, showed off a black suit and white shirt combined with heeled boots while waddling on the runway with other models.
”It is a natural choice if Jeno opens the show. He embodies the male representation of Peter Do. Namely, diverse, confident, and pioneering,”said Do, as reported by Soompi. Show Do was also enlivened by Seulgi, a member of the girl group Red Velvet. Seulgi who sat in the front row looked fierce with an all-black outfit. ”It was an amazing show,” he wrote via Instagram yesterday
