After Reviewing The Command Center, National Police Chief Ensures G-20 Summit Security

The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directly checked the security readiness of the G20 Summit in Bali. On Saturday (5/11), the National Police Chief inspected the command center at the Bali Police. There, he explained that there would be 16 connected features from various Ministries to follow G20 developments in real time.

“Earlier we carried out training using the facilities in the command center to find out how the performances of members and equipment. As well as the troops in the field, including the number, we can monitor it directly, “said Sigit.

In addition, the command center can monitor the routes that will be passed by state officials and VVIP guests. Starting from the airport to the accommodation or venue. If later there are obstacles on the way, an alternative route will be prepared.

“So everything can be seen and monitored in the command center,” said Sigit.

The former Police Criminal Investigation Unit also mentioned the use of facial recognition. It was set up to monitor people suspected of or on the police register. From the simulation review, he saw that everything was going well.

“This will make it easier when we face threats and challenges. We can move personnel and equipment in the field. We will reduce it according to the existing threat level,” said Sigit.

In the future, Sigit said that several preparations would be carried out to check the final readiness of security. Such as troop titles, dress rehearsals, to joint training with the TNI.

“We will carry out several preparations to check the final readiness. Starting tomorrow, we will hold troop titles, rehearsals and digital tactics or a combined floor game of the TNI and Polri,” said Sigit.

Regarding disaster mitigation, the former Banten Police Chief said that his party had prepared an evacuation plan together with other stakeholders. “Disaster mitigation has been prepared. Both natural disaster mitigation in the form of earthquakes and other events. There is an alarm that sounds when there is an earthquake. We have prepared an evacuation plan. We share with the TNI, “explained Sigit.

The National Police Chief also conveyed the results of coordination with the security team of heads of state who are scheduled to attend the G20 Summit. It is scheduled that around 17 world heads of state will attend on November 15 and 16.

“In principle, the coordination runs from the advanced team, the TNI Commander and Paspampres. Everything went well, including the security readiness that became their standard, which had been adjusted. From our perspective, we want the security to be of international standard because this is our gamble,” said Sigit.
