BMKG: Beware of Heavy Rain in Several Areas in Indonesia

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded the public to be aware of the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning/lightning and strong winds. This condition can occur in a number of regions in Indonesia on Wednesday (9/11).

Based on information compiled from the official BMKG website as reported by Antara , Wednesday (9/11), the weather forecast applies to Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung. , Banten, West Java, and DKI Jakarta.

The BMKG also warns of 2.5-4 meter high waves in the western waters of Enggano to Lampung, the West Indian Ocean of Sumatra, the western and southern parts of the Sunda Strait, the southern waters of Banten, the southern waters of East Java, the southern Indian Ocean of Java to West Nusa Tenggara, and North Natuna Sea.

The high wave warning is in effect from Wednesday at 07.00 WIB until Friday (11/11) at 07.00 WIB. The shipping sector and people who live and work on the coast around areas that are prone to high waves are urged to remain vigilant and pay attention to these warnings.
