A number of political parties are rumored to be joining the Gerindra-PKB coalition. The Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, did not deny the news.
“There are several parties who want to work together in this political cooperation,” said Muzani at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (18/8/2022).
He did not want to reveal to the public which party he would join. However, Gerindra-PKB does not close itself if there are parties that join.
“We will speak later, but we don’t think it’s appropriate to mention it, but we continue to open communication with the political parties, we’re cooperating. We are expanding so that this political cooperation can be even greater,” he said.
It is known that PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said his party is open to a coalition with political parties that support Jokowi-Ma’ruf in 2019. In response, Muzani said Gerindra and PDIP have a very good relationship.
“Our communication with PDIP after the collaboration between Gerindra and PKB is also very good. We will also meet with PDIP to discuss how to maintain unity and democracy can take place well. All of our actions and political cooperation, we will all discuss with PKB, ” he said.
Regarding the planned meeting between Gerindra and PDIP, Muzani said that the time would be scheduled later. He also did not explain clearly regarding the certainty of PDIP into the coalition.
“We open all communications with the political parties, time will tell. Time will take the momentum,” he said.
