PSS Sleman coach Seto Nurdiantoro said the presence of fans and supporters means more motivation for his team to win over Persib Bandung in the fifth week of Liga 1 2022-2023. This match till take place at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, today (19/8).
Thousands of PSS fans are predicted to throng the stadium to support the Java Super Eagle. “With a full crowd in the stadium, of course there will be two different sides. It can be a burden or a motivation,” said Seto, quoted from the club’s official website.
However, reflecting on the victory over Barito Putera in the fourth week, the presence of a large number of supporters has become a big motivation for PSS players.
“Looking at the supporters in yesterday’s game, when things were difficult in the first half when we were struggling to score goals, they still supported us,” he said.
Therefore, Seto hopes that the presence of the fans will be more motivation for the players. Namely to chase the ambition of victory in every match.
According to him, the victory is a form of appreciation from PSS players to supporters. Because, fans provide support in any situation. “Thank you fans, pray for us always and hopefully the PSS team will be better and achieve better,” said Seto.
Meanwhile, PSS players Bagus Nirwanto said they were excited to beat Maung Bandung.
“Seeing the final preparations ahead of the match against Persib, the players practice with enjoyment. We have to fight and fight without giving up until the end of the game,” said Bagus.
