Defending Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen is getting closer to defending the title he won last season.
That’s after the Dutch driver won his 11th this season in the Italian GP Formula 1 race.
With a perfect 25 points, Verstappen now collects 335 points at the top of the standings.
Thus, the distance between his points with his closest rival Charles Leclerc (in second position) has widened to 116 points.
The Italian GP at the Monza Circuit is the 16th series in the Formula 1 racing calendar this year. With six series remaining, it’s really hard for Leclerc to catch up.
A distance of 116 points equals four more wins. This means that Verstappen is just a little bit away from defending his title.
