He stated, the ambassador must have a good image , attachment to basketball, and have a lot of fans. Well, from these criteria, Raffi’s figure is considered the most suitable.

First, Raffi owns a basketball club that plays in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) RANS PIK Basketball.

”His actions in basketball and sports have been significant. Where RANS can qualify for the IBL playoffs ,” said Cahyadi at the press conference yesterday.

Cahyadi added, apart from introducing local ambassadors, the local committee still had one more agenda. Namely, launching the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Tissot Countdown Clock on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the HI Roundabout, Jakarta. ”The theme of the event will be Win for All,” he said.

Raffi is grateful for being invited to be part of the history of the 2023 FIBA World Cup in Indonesia.

“I feel honored and proud to be chosen as the ambassador for the FIBA World Cup 2023 for Indonesia. This is my portfolio for basketball and Red and White,” said Raffi.

Nagita Slavina’s husband admitted that he did not need to think much to accept the offer to become an ambassador. Because, according to him, all Indonesian citizens must in their hearts want to contribute to the country of Indonesia.

”This is an opportunity I also learn a lot in basketball. It’s an honor, I’m not a basketball player, but I can be invited to be an ambassador,” he said.

Raffi added that his job was to socialize the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 event and maintain Indonesia’s good name in preparation and during the event. In addition, he hoped that people would still come to the venue even though Indonesia did not qualify for the World Cup.
