Who doesn’t know Astra International? This large company has just scored quite impressive results at the end of 2024. Based on the latest report, $ASII recorded a net profit of 8.2 trillion rupiah in the fourth quarter of 2024. Perhaps this figure invites the smiles of investors, even though it experienced a slight decline of -18% QoQ, but still grew 1% YoY.

2024 Achievements: Exceeding Expectations

Overall, Astra’s net profit during 2024 will reach 34 trillion rupiah. This is definitely beyond expectations, you know! This figure is even equivalent to 106% of the consensus estimate. The rise of the financial services segment as well as contributions from associate entities and joint ventures (JVs) are the main drivers for this achievement.

Strong Performance of the Financial Services Segment

Let’s take a closer look, the profit from the financial services segment grew 11% YoY and 4% QoQ. Meanwhile, earnings from associate entities and JVs showed a growth of 13% YoY, despite a slight decline of -8% QoQ. Mmm… Interesting, right?

Taxes and Dividends: A Bonus for Shareholders!

What’s even more interesting, the tax burden borne by Astra has also decreased! This tax burden decreased by -10% YoY in the fourth quarter and -5% YoY during 2024. This contributes positively to the company’s net profit.

ASII’s management also did not want to miss giving good news to shareholders. They proposed a final dividend of 308 rupiah per share, which means this indicates a dividend yield of 6.7% based on the share price as of Thursday, February 27, which was at 4,590 rupiah.

Conclusion: Positive Steps Forward
